The Creative Curriculum

The Creative Curriculum is a comprehensive, research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning. Its design enables children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. The curriculum balances teacher-directed and child initiated learning while responding to children’s individual learning styles, interests, and developmental levels.

We will be using the Creative Curriculum for Preschool, 6th Edition. The new edition was developed based on the latest brain research and best practices in early childhood education. The Objectives for Development and Learning section was expanded making it easier for teachers to tract each child’s development and learning, using those objectives identified by Teaching Strategies as the predictors of future school success.

PJ Library Goes to School

While the Playful Learning Preschool at Kol Ami is a secular program, universal values are explored through the lens of Jewish traditions and celebrations. Children are encouraged to share the culture and traditions of their families.

PJ Library provides children’s books, music, and other resources to make the learning of values fun. Exploring values helps to start conversations and build healthy relationships.
